| Jesus is the reason for the season We are not a bunch of crazy right wing fanatics, rather concerned people of faith who are watching others mis-use and mis-represent the celebration of Christ and/or the melting away of the powerful message of God's love, born in the flesh, to bring hope, peach, live and love to the world. Why are so many threatened by such a wonderful gift? Even non Christians recognize the powerful role of Jesus. This is not a site that is blaming the media, the civil groups or sound bites from atheists. Our task is to compile a presences and resources for Christians and all persons who care about what is trust, real, and Godly. If that sounds like an agenda that you would place in a certain hole with a certain political or religious label, let me clarify the intent. People of Love God and know that are called to share the love, life, power, peace, and witness of God through Jesus Christ, are not going to sleep through a night of apathy allowing silence on our part to let others speak for us. Merry Christmas. In North Carolina, Belks department store heard the | The Lack of a Google Christmas Holiday Logo Go look through all the archives of the special custom logos that have been created and used for the past ten years and you will not find Christmas recognized as a worthy holiday for a custom logo at Google. First lets start with, "what is a holiday?" I would be a recognized day, that is set apart as holy or special. While it is not Google's Responsibility to promote any faith, it is a clear and calculated decision to NOT affirm Christmas as legitimate holiday. The do include other cultural holidays. They do include civic holidays. They do include other religious holidays. They do include holidays that only relate to the U.S. users holidays. There is an obvious statement of the avoidance of Christmas. There is not a celebration of the Christ nor the Sacred Santa. Why is it so politically correct to avoid Christmas? If one third of the world is Christian, Muslim, or Buddist, would it not seem appropriate to name the days that shape calendars even if they are days of faith for only a portion of the users. Not everyone celebrates or recognized the days they do use custom logos, but they must have a vested commitment to support Thanksgiving and Halloween. All Hallow's Eve is linked to religious celebration, why is it included and not Christmas. St. Valentine and and St. Patrick are linked to religious people who express their faith and are celebrated by many, but not all, yet they have Google logos. The debate goes on about the validity of celebrating Columbus day questioning the original founding parties. I would only guess that Google would be driven by a business model that that focusing on statistics and sub routines that define and project how users of their site interact with their products and it is simply that if fewer people are offended by the avoidance of Christmas in their holiday logo tradition then that would be the prudent way for them to go. | ||
Stand up for Christmas....
*Twas the month before Christmas*
*When all through our land,*
*Not a Christian was praying*
*Nor taking a stand.*
*'Cause the PC Police had taken away*
*And the reason for Christmas - no one could say.*
*The children were told by their schools not to sing,*
*About Shepherds, and Wise Men, and Angels and things.*
*It might hurt people's feelings, the teachers would say,*
* December 25th is just a 'Holiday '.*
*Yet the shoppers were ready with cash, checks and credit*
*Pushing folks down to the floor just to get it!*
*CDs from Madonna, an X BOX, an I-pod*
*Something was changing, something quite odd! *
*Retailers promoted Ramadan and Kwanzaa*
*In hopes of selling books by Franken or Fonda.*
*As Targets were hanging their trees upside down*
* At Lowe's the word Christmas - was no where to be found.*
*At K-Mart and Staples and Penny's and Sears*
*You won't hear the word Christmas;
it won't touch your ears.*
*Inclusive, sensitive, Di-ver-si-ty*
*Are words that were used to intimidate me.*
*Now Daschle, Now Darden, Now Sharpton, Wolf Blitzen*
*On Boxer, on Rather, on Kerry, on Clinton !*
*At the top of the Senate, there arose such a clatter*
*To eliminate Jesus, in every public matter.*
*And we spoke not a word, as they took away our faith*
* Forbidden to speak of salvation and grace*
*The true Gift of Christmas was exchanged or discarded*
*The reason for the season, was stopped before it started.*
*So as you celebrate 'Winter Break' under your 'Dream Tree'*
*Sipping your Starbucks, Listen to me.*
*Choose your words carefully, choose what you say*
*Shout MERRY CHRISTMAS ,not Happy Holiday !*
Please, all Christians join together and wish everyone you meet during the holidays a MERRY CHRISTMAS
Christ is The Reason for the Christ-mas Season!
